SPANISH FORT, Ala. (March 28, 2019)Cypress Equities companies* (“Cypress”) announced today that the real estate developer has finalized a land sale with Tyler, Texas-based western wear retailer Cavender’s.  The approximately two-acre parcel is located within Cypress’ mixed-use development known as Spanish Fort Town Center in Spanish Fort, Alabama, where the retailer will build its newest store.

Cavender’s currently operates more than 80 stores in eight states.  The retailer specializes in men’s, women’s and children’s western wear, including cowboy boots, cowboy hats, outerwear, jeans, belts, buckles, wallets, purses, jewelry and more.  Among the popular brands consumers will find available at Cavender’s are Justin Boots, Ariat, Wrangler, Cinch, Lucchese Boots, Miss Me Jeans, Tony Lama Boots, Rafter C, among others. 

Scott Bitney of L3 Corporation Commercial Real Estate represented Cavender’s on this transaction, while Angie McArthur of Stirling Properties represented Cypress Equities.

The new Cavender’s store will be situated between Urban Air Adventure Park and La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries adjacent to Town Center Park, where The Fort opened last month.

Spanish Fort Town Center is a 448,748-square-foot, mixed-use retail property that encompasses 230 acres and is currently anchored by Bass Pro Shops, Kohl’s and JCPenney.  Other merchants include Fairways Indoor Golf Club, Urban Air Adventure Park, Tots2Teens Fun Salon, TQL, Direct Furniture and Oishi Japanese Sushi Bar and Grill.  Spanish Fort Town Center also features a 3.5-acre community park, Town Center Park.
