CYPRESS TO LAUNCH INNOVATIVE CONTAINER PARK PROGRAM

DALLAS (September 12, 2018)Cypress Equities companies* (“Cypress”) announced that they have broken ground on “The Fort,” a vibrant food and beverage container park, building upon the latest wave of sustainable experiential retail, inclusive of community, culture and surroundings.  The park will be located within the company’s Spanish Fort Town Center in Spanish Fort, Alabama just east of Mobile Bay.

The Fort will be composed of a configuration of approximately ten repurposed shipping containers situated within the mixed-use development’s Town Center Park.  The containers will be transformed into individually operated and functioning retail and restaurant spaces that exude a rejuvenated, rustic identity.  The container park merchants will share a common open-air environment where patrons sit, dine and enjoy themselves.   

The Fort will be home to a number of eclectic eateries featuring an assortment of foods and treats, plus craft brews, wine and cocktails, as well as an adjacent performance space.  Slated to operate within The Fort are:

  • Bleus Burger
  • Dragonfly Taco Bar
  • Dickey’s Barbeque Pit
  • Soul Bowlz
  • Sno Biz
  • Deuce Coop
  • Beakers Coffee
  • Terrapin Tap Station

Jake Szczepanski is leading the development of the Container Park program for Cypress.  His previous experience as co-founder and former CEO of a formidable lifestyle brand lends itself extremely well to this new venture.

The Fort will be the first in a series of restaurant and retail-focused container parks that Cypress will develop across the country.  These container parks will offer a unique dining, shopping and live entertainment experience designed to serve as a cutting-edge, new-age retail hub in select markets.
