Oishi Japanese Sushi Bar & Grill and Direct Furniture to Open at SFTC

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (January 25, 2017) – Cypress Equities companies* (“Cypress”) announced today that Oishi Japanese Sushi Bar & Grill and Direct Furniture will be opening locations at Spanish Fort Town Center in 2017.  Oishi will be located at 23000 Town Center Avenue and Direct Furniture will be located beside JCPenney at 30000 Town Center Avenue.

Oishi Japanese Sushi Bar & Grill will bring the best of Japanese cuisine to Spanish Fort. Expect your taste buds to get treated to a wonderful assortment of fresh and truly unique sushi options to choose from, as well as a wide variety of Japanese entrees, such as teriyaki, tempura, and katsu. Wine and imported beer, as well as Japanese hot and cold sakes, will also be available. The grand opening is anticipated for March 2017.

Direct Furniture is a locally owned, family-run business originally located in Foley, Alabama.  The decision to open a second store at Spanish Fort Town Center was based on a desire to branch out in Baldwin County, due to attractive growth in the area.  The owner, John Williams, said the store’s main goal is to provide good quality furniture, great prices and friendly service.  Direct Furniture is planning to open early February 2017.

Spanish Fort Town Center is a 448,748-square-foot, mixed-use retail property that encompasses 230 acres and is currently anchored by Bass Pro Shops, Kohl’s, JCPenney, Fairways Indoor Golf Club, Sylvan Learning Center and TQL, with additional space for in-line shops and restaurant pads.  Spanish Fort Town Center also features a 3.5-acre community park.
